Um where to start

I just upgraded to Ubuntu 11.04 today and i gotta say it pretty intuitive and blazingly fast as always with Ubuntu I'm still on a path to desktop customization but this one stumps me at the moment. [Rainmeter] doesn't work and screenlits are kind of ify ...im going to either have to do some serious coding for find a better alternative we'll see how this turns out
